Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Neuro IR Tech with documented Neuro IR experience and ARRT certification for a stroke team role on 10-hour day shifts.
Responsibilities
- Work in a medical imaging radiology department with 2 cath labs and 2 hybrid peripheral/OR rooms
- Position is focused on Neuro Interventional Radiology as part of the Stroke Team
- 10-hour day shifts with schedule of 07:00-15:30 when not on call and 07:30-16:00 when on call
- On-call requirement is one week on, two weeks off; weekend and holiday rotation discussed during interview
- No floating required
- Unit uses Epic EMR (required), Epic Cupid (preferred), Alaris, and Omnicell
- Orientation includes 5 days of 8-hour shifts
- Travelers must live at least 100 miles from the facility
- Duties include circulating for Neuro IR procedures and supporting the stroke team
- Team includes Monday through Friday charge nurse support (6:00-16:30)
- First-time travelers are welcome
- Scrubs are procedural and provided
- Free parking is available
- Holiday and weekend expectations will be discussed during the interview
- Permanent staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler
Requirements
- Current ARRT certification required; Vascular Interventional (VI) credential preferred
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of Neuro IR experience is required; IR-only experience will not be considered
- Experience with sterile/scrub technique, Siemens Neuro IR equipment, and Epic EMR
- Stroke team experience required
- ICU experience required
- License required if applicable
