Transport & Logistics Planner
Position Overview:
- As Planner and after basic training you will be charged with logistics plans for the company and ensuring efficiency.
- Maintain 100% delivery as per customer expectations using our own fleet of 60 trailers and 25 Units with some support from other Transporters.
- Ability to work in pressured environment and good communication skills essential.
Responsibilities:
- Learning the use of specially developed software systems at the company.
- Eventually be able to Produce the deliveries plan taking into consideration production capacity & deliveries.
- Liaise with the production management team daily and maintain to ensure availability of customer jobs.
- Communicate with the management team daily, liaising directly with drivers & customers.
- Ensure customer requirements are met and maintain stock accuracy.
- Must have can-do attitude.
Key Skill Requirements:
- Full understanding of Tachograph, working time and driver hour’s legislation.
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Good oral communication, interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to take a confident and diplomatic approach with staff, colleagues and customers.
- Prioritize and work well under pressure, making key decisions.
- Numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data/information.
- Proactive, innovative and creative approach to problem solving.
- A minimum of three years transport operations experience with strong organizational skills will be nice.

- Salary/Rate: £30,000-£35,000 per/annum depending on experience.
