Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Troutville, VA

Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a positive impact by working onsite as a Speech-Language Pathologist or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant supporting students throughout the full school year. This engaging contract role offers flexibility for either full-time or part-time hours, depending on your preference. Work directly with a vibrant student population ranging from PreK to 12th grade, helping them reach key communication and academic goals.

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (for SLP-CCC or Clinical Fellow applicants)
• Valid or eligibility for a Virginia SLP license
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply
• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and diverse multidisciplinary teams
• Organizational proficiency and attention to detail in documentation

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out speech and language evaluations, using a variety of assessment tools
• Design and implement individualized education plans and targeted goals
• Deliver both direct and indirect therapy to students based on IEP requirements
• Consult and partner with educational staff and parents to support each student’s needs
• Maintain timely and compliant documentation, participating in IEP and student support meetings as necessary
