Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Active SLP license in the state of Texas (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience working with school-aged children, including knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills for collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to work independently and efficiently manage your caseload
Core Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families
- Maintain detailed session notes, progress documentation, and necessary Medicaid or compliance records
- Deliver engaging therapy sessions tailored to each student’s needs, either one-on-one or in group settings
- Participate in parent meetings, IEP reviews, and school staff consultations as required
- Stay current on best practices in pediatric and school-based speech-language therapy
