Job Description
Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving elementary students for the upcoming school year, August through June. This role focuses on providing speech-language therapy to a diverse caseload, including moderate-to-severe students, those who are multilingual, and individuals utilizing AAC devices. You’ll collaborate with a dedicated team within a supportive educational environment, making a real difference in students’ daily lives.
Preferred Experience and Credentials:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Active California state licensure for Speech-Language Pathology
- Previous school-based therapy experience, specifically with elementary-aged children
- Comfort working with moderate-to-severe student populations
- Familiarity with alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) devices is highly valued
- Multilingual skills or experience with multilingual student populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted speech-language therapy services as part of IEP teams
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment goals, and document student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists to promote student achievement
- Adapt communication techniques to support diverse learners and those using AAC
- Maintain records and compliance with state and federal regulations
