Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract position is ideal for experienced Special Education Teachers seeking to make a positive impact in the classroom. The role runs from late August 2026 through early June 2027, with a full-time schedule across standard school hours Monday through Friday. You’ll work directly with students in a dedicated DCD (Developmental and Cognitive Delay) centerbase setting, providing individualized learning experiences that help each child reach their full potential.
Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Current Minnesota teaching certification; must be Tier 3 or 4 (required to apply)
- Special Education licensure with knowledge in developmental and cognitive delays
- Experience supporting elementary-aged students in a structured, onsite educational environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Compassionate approach with a commitment to student growth and inclusion
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction and interventions tailored to students with developmental and cognitive delays in a centerbase classroom
- Create a positive, safe, and supportive classroom atmosphere
- Develop, implement, and modify IEPs in collaboration with colleagues and families
- Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly
- Maintain accurate records and clear documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
- Collaborate closely with school staff, related service providers, and families
