Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (PT) required
- Current, active Physical Therapy license in Michigan
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, faculty, and families
- Ability to work independently, manage schedules, and prioritize student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ physical abilities and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to support their educational participation
- Deliver direct therapy services in accordance with student IEPs and educational goals
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure continuity of care and accommodations within the classroom
- Maintain thorough, up-to-date documentation on student progress and therapy outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings as required, providing professional input and recommendations
- Adapt therapy activities and interventions to meet the dynamic needs of a school environment
