Take on a meaningful assignment and support student well-being as a Registered Nurse for a school-based position near Lake Orion, MI. This is an urgent contract opening for the Extended School Year (ESY) from July 13, 2026, to August 21, 2026. The role will be onsite and is designed to provide coverage while the school seeks a long-term nurse—there is potential for this role to extend into the new school year if a permanent nurse isn’t found.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing or a health-related field is required
• Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Preferred but not required: Michigan School Nurse Certification (Interim, Standard, or Professional)
• Preferred: Certification to teach First Aid, CPR, and AED (from American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or similar)
• Strong communication and the ability to train others in First Aid and CPR is highly valued

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver nursing care and first aid to students and staff on campus
• Respond to medical emergencies, administer medications, and provide health assessments
• Document and manage health records per regulations and district policy
• Support the school community in developing healthy habits and managing chronic conditions
• Potentially train school staff in First Aid and CPR
