Respiratory Therapist

Job Description:

. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in improving the respiratory health and quality of life of elderly patients.

Responsibilities:

– Conduct respiratory assessments and develop individualized care plans for geriatric patients

– Administer respiratory treatments and therapies, such as oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and chest physiotherapy

– Monitor and adjust ventilator settings for patients with respiratory failure

– Educate patients and their families on respiratory care and disease management

– Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients

– Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

– Respond to emergency situations and provide life-saving interventions as needed

Requirements:

– Valid state license as a Respiratory Therapist

– Minimum of 2 years experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with geriatric patients

– Strong knowledge of respiratory diseases and treatments

– Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

– Willingness to work night shifts and rotating weekends

– BLS and ACLS certification
