About the Role:
As a Regulatory Legal Counsel , you will provide expert legal guidance on crypto, blockchain, and financial services regulation in the UAE. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and engage with regulators, policymakers, and industry stakeholders to ensure compliance and advance innovative initiatives in the digital asset space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on regulatory matters relating to financial services, digital assets, and blockchain-based technologies .
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements related to corporate, regulatory, and commercial matters.
- Partner with internal teams, including business, technology, and product, to provide clear legal guidance.
- Keep the organisation informed of new and emerging regulations, helping implement practical compliance strategies.
- Represent the organisation in discussions with regulators, industry groups, and other key stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5–8 years’ experience as a financial services regulatory lawyer , with specific digital assets or blockchain advisory experience.
- Qualified in the UAE and/or England and Wales, with prior experience at a top-tier law firm .
- Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills, able to simplify complex legal issues for non-legal colleagues.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, innovative environment , working independently and collaboratively.
- A proven understanding of financial products, regulatory licensing, and compliance requirements in the region.
