Job Summary and Qualifications
In this role, you will provide leadership that facilitates the delivery of professional nursing care aimed at ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients. You will employ the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver, delegate, supervise, and document care and education for patients and their families. You will also implement medically prescribed interventions.
What qualifications are necessary:
- Preferred Experience: One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting.
- Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN or advanced degree program, with the expectation of obtaining a BSN within five years of starting the RN position. Grandfathering will be accepted between departments and entities. Exemptions or extensions may be granted by the facility CNO and reported to the CNO Council members. Each facility will ensure tracking of exemptions if needed. RNs with ten years or more of experience are exempt.
- Required License/Certifications: Must possess and maintain current licensure as a registered nurse with the relevant state Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply; licensees should confirm with the state board.
- Certificate: BLS Healthcare Provider.
