Director of Planning – Birmingham

About the Role
This is a new and senior leadership position within a well-established planning consultancy that has enjoyed significant growth over the past two years. Now, they are expanding further — with a particular focus on Birmingham — and need a proactive Director of Planning to spearhead the next phase.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading and building a planning team in a key growth area (Birmingham)
- Developing and expanding your own client portfolio from day one
- Overseeing planning strategy, feasibility studies, applications, and negotiations
- Devising creative and commercially focused solutions with multidisciplinary collaboration
- Representing the business with confidence in new sectors and markets
Who You Are
- Currently at a larger consultancy or similar — with a proven ability to self-generate clients
- A strong network of existing clients and relationships ready to leverage
- A natural leader: entrepreneurial, ambitious, and resourceful
- Ready to take ownership, drive growth, and build a team from the ground up
