Pharmacist in Charge (8+ Weeks) – Newark, NJ

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

RPh on the Go has partnered with a behavioral health pharmacy in Newark, NJ seeking an experienced Interim Pharmacist-in-Charge for an immediate contract assignment. This role offers a consistent Monday–Friday day schedule with no sterile compounding, making it an excellent opportunity for an experienced pharmacy leader.

Position Details

• Setting: Behavioral Health Pharmacy
• Length: 8+ Week Contract
• Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (On-call evenings/weekends)

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge and maintain regulatory compliance
• Verify medication orders and oversee daily pharmacy operations
• Manage pharmacy scheduling, meetings, and policy implementation
• Support Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) initiatives and quality improvement efforts

Requirements

• Active, clear New Jersey Pharmacist license
• HCS experience required
• Previous pharmacy leadership and policy development experience preferred
