Occupational Therapist School Setting – Norridgewock, ME

Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Active or eligible Occupational Therapist licensure in Maine
• Relevant experience working as a school-based OT is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of pediatric occupational therapy practices
• Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Flexibility and adaptability to work across various student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify students’ functional abilities and challenges
• Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy programs
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, participating in IEP meetings
• Provide direct therapy sessions and consultative services in classrooms or therapy spaces
• Guide teachers and staff with strategies for accommodations and modifications
• Document progress, maintain records, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students
