Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding role supporting students’ growth and development as a school-based Occupational Therapist. Serve classrooms across two vibrant educational communities and have a positive impact on learners from preschool through 8th grade, with a primary focus on students with moderate cognitive impairments or Autism.

Enjoy a consistent full-time schedule from 8:00 AM to 3:45 PM, Monday through Friday. Your expertise will directly benefit nearly 49 students, delivering services in resource rooms, regional cognitive impairment programs, and to a small Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) population. Comprehensive mileage reimbursement ensures your travel between sites is covered.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist
  • Experience working in school-based settings, ideally with children with moderate cognitive impairments or Autism
  • Familiarity with resource, specialized program, and ECSE settings preferred
  • Comfort supporting preschoolers through middle schoolers
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Willingness to collaborate with a multidisciplinary educational team

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative OT services as part of IEP teams
  • Develop and implement tailored interventions and supports
  • Conduct evaluations and contribute to eligibility decisions
  • Maintain accurate documentation and efficient Medicaid billing using EdPlan (training provided)
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student independence and inclusion
  • Monitor progress and adjust interventions to maximize outcomes
