Position Overview and Qualifications
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our Inpatient Rehabilitation unit, you will play a crucial role in assisting patients as they regain strength, mobility, and independence following illness, injury, or prolonged hospital stays. With typical patient stays lasting two to three weeks, you will have the opportunity to form meaningful connections and observe the positive impact of your care on their recovery. You will collaborate with a dedicated rehabilitation team focused on enhancing lives every day.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Administering medications and treatments, monitoring patient responses, and promptly reporting any changes
- Assisting patients with mobility, transfers, and daily living activities (ADLs) to support therapy objectives and foster independence
- Monitoring vital signs and neurological status to identify changes and respond effectively
- Documenting patient progress and functional abilities to inform care planning and team collaboration
- Educating and supporting patients and their families regarding recovery milestones, safety, and self-care practices
- Collaborating closely with nurses, therapists, and physicians to provide tailored, high-quality care
Qualifications Required:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment
- Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) license must be secured within 30 days of starting employment
No travel is required for this position.
No prior experience is necessary.
