Industrial Hygienist (Project Manager) Terraphase Engineering is seeking a Project Manager to join our growing team in our Los Angeles, or Sacramento offices. In this role, you will manage a diverse portfolio of hazardous building materials, industrial hygiene, and environmental consulting projects while serving as a trusted advisor to clients. You’ll lead project teams, oversee technical work, mentor junior staff, and help deliver high quality solutions that protect human health and the environment. The Role

Ensure health and safety is the number one goal by following company policies, procedures, and safe work practices at all times Manage hazardous building materials and industrial hygiene projects from proposal through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget Plan and oversee asbestos, lead, mold, water intrusion, indoor air quality, and other hazardous building materials investigations and remediation projects Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, work plans, cost estimates, and project documentation Manage project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and client communications Provide technical oversight and mentorship to field technicians and junior staff Coordinate and oversee environmental sampling activities including air monitoring and bulk sampling Support business development efforts by developing client relationships, preparing proposals, and identifying new project opportunities Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Terraphase to deliver integrated environmental solutions Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations

Who You Are

Cal/OSHA Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC) certification required College degree (BS, MS, MPH) in Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline 5+ years of experience managing hazardous building materials, industrial hygiene, or environmental consulting projects Strong technical knowledge of asbestos, lead, mold, indoor air quality, and hazardous building materials regulations Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and client relationships OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification CDPH Lead Inspector/Assessor certification or ability to obtain Strong leadership, organization, and problem solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Willingness to travel throughout California for project and client needs Flexibility to occasionally support off hours work, including evenings and weekends, when project demands require

Compensation for this position is based on years of experience, technical expertise, technical education, and geographic location. $90,000 – $130,000 USD
