Location: Fernley, NV 89408

Duration : Temp to hire/Full time

Pay rate : $20-22/hr. (DOE)

Monday–Friday 6AM-2:30PM

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Grinder Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Grinder Operator is responsible for grinding, smoothing, and finishing metal parts and welds to meet quality specifications and customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Operate hand grinders, angle grinders, and other finishing equipment.
• Remove excess weld material, burrs, and imperfections from metal components.
• Grind and finish parts according to blueprints, work instructions, and quality standards.
• Inspect completed work to ensure proper dimensions and surface finish.
• Use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and gauges.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Perform routine maintenance on grinding equipment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Assist with other fabrication and production duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Previous manufacturing, fabrication, or grinding experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, stooping, lifting, and reaching.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and metal materials.
• Experience in metal fabrication, welding, or manufacturing environments.
• Experience using angle grinders, die grinders, and finishing tools.
• Must Pass a Background & Drug Screen
• Must Pass a Measurement Test
