Overview:
We’re looking for a Chartered Geotechnical Engineer to play a key technical role in our UK infrastructure projects. The role involves ownership of geotechnical design from initial investigation through to construction support, and offers the opportunity to shape a growing capability within a supportive, globally connected team.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading geotechnical design for major infrastructure projects (rail, roads, tunnels)
- Planning and interpreting ground investigations
- Designing foundations, earthworks, retaining structures, and slope stability solutions
- Collaborating with structural and civil teams across the UK and globally
- Supporting temporary and permanent works
- Providing input into risk management and buildability during construction
- Mentoring junior geotechnical staff and guiding project delivery
What We’re Looking For:
- Chartered Engineer (CEng, MICE or equivalent)
- 10–15 years’ experience in geotechnical engineering and analysis
- Experience delivering UK infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with PLAXIS, WALLAP, PILEGROUP, SLOPE/W or similar software
- Strong technical background and ability to communicate complex design concepts
- Desire to help shape and grow the UK geotechnical function
