About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Multimodal Freight Forwarder to join our industry leading client in Birmingham . This role involves handling predominantly Air and Ocean freight operations from start to finish . The ideal candidate will ensure all shipments comply with UK and international customs regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Process import and export operations for air, sea, and road freight.
- Quoting and Pricing, ensuring best rates are secured
- Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and customs requirements.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and government agencies.
- Manage customs documentation and duty/VAT calculations.
- Stay up to date with, CNS, Destin8, Cargowise, CDS, CHIEF, and industry regulations.
- Provide customer updates and resolve customs-related queries.
Key Requirements
- Previous experience as a Freight Forwarde in freight forwarding or logistics.
- Strong knowledge of multimodal freight (air, sea, and road).
- Proficiency with customs systems (e.g., CDS, CHIEF, Destin8, Sequoia).
- Understanding of commodity codes, duties, VAT, and trade agreements.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
