CVOR Registered Nurse – Operating room – Overland Park, Kansas

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years CVOR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with current, unrestricted credentials
• Proven experience in a CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) setting required
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures, instrumentation, and sterile technique
• BLS and ACLS certifications (current and valid)
• Excellent critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with cardiovascular surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and adherence to established protocols
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists as a core member of the CVOR team
• Monitor, assess, and respond to patient condition before, during, and after procedures
• Maintain surgical equipment and instrumentation, following strict infection control measures
• Document all aspects of perioperative care accurately and in a timely manner
• Provide education and support to patients and families, fostering a compassionate atmosphere
