Make a real difference supporting students with unique needs in a rewarding, contract role on a dedicated special education team. Begin your assignment in early September and work through the school year at a Setting 4 site, where students receive specialized instruction and behavioral support throughout their day. This opportunity manages a 32.5-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, and offers a chance to serve learners from elementary through high school.

Key Qualifications:

• Must be “Highly Qualified” by one of the following:
  • Passing the MN Para Educator Exam (attach score/report)
  • Completion of at least 60 college credits (attach transcripts; diplomas or degrees do not suffice)
• Prior experience as a paraprofessional or in a special education setting supporting students with significant behavioral and developmental needs is highly valued
• Willingness and ability to assist with toileting and personal care needs is required
• Flexibility to work with students from elementary to high school; please specify any preferred grade levels
• Comfortable working in a high-needs environment requiring strong patience, empathy, and collaboration
• Resume and proof of highly qualified status must be provided for consideration

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct support to students in a Setting 4 environment, where all learners receive their education in a special education context
• Assist educators and specialists with classroom management, behavior intervention, and academic support
• Foster a positive, structured, and caring learning atmosphere
• Participate in daily routines that may include personal care, behavioral intervention, and social skills development
