Job Description
The Chief Librarian is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and operational management of the Library. This includes developing policies and regulations, planning and implementing programs and services, and evaluating the activities of the Library.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning: Plan, organize, maintain, and improve services in accordance with the Library’s mission, with particular attention to automation.
- Administration: Direct all operations of the University Library and act as its prime representative to the university community and the general public.
- Human Resources Management: Ensure that the Library is adequately staffed, provide internal training for employees, and establish an evaluation process in accordance with University regulations.
