The workload for this new role will mainly involve mid-high value M&A and VC and investment work across a variety of sectors and the candidate will be expected to be able to independently draft and to lead negotiations on the key transaction documents (share and asset purchase agreements, investment and shareholders agreements and articles of association), to manage deals through to completion, to delegate to and to supervise junior associates and also to proactively manage the day-to-day relationship with the client.
The successful candidate will:
• Have 5-8 years PQE, working in private practice or in-house.
• Be experienced drafting and negotiating key corporate documents and leading deals through to completion.
• Have in-depth experience of both private M&A and VC and Investment work.
• Enjoy mentoring and supervising junior colleagues.
• Be self-motivated and ambitious to develop their own practice and expertise.
• Be active in business development, building upon an established network.
