Our client is seeking experienced Caseworkers to support a high-priority government programme assisting eligible foreign nationals and their families who supported UK operations over the past 20 years. This is an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a sensitive, high-impact initiative within the Defence sector. This role requires strong case management skills, policy adherence, and emotional resilience due to the sensitive nature of the work.

Location: Hybrid – Whitehall, Inner London

Contract Length: Until 31 March 2026

IR35 Status: In Scope

Clearance Required: Active SC Clearance

Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage individual cases efficiently and with empathy, in line with government policies and procedures.
  • Analyse complex information from multiple sources to make well-justified decisions.
  • Ensure decisions are clearly documented and aligned with relevant policies.
  • Handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Meet daily case handling targets while maintaining quality and accuracy.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support effective resolution of cases.
  • Work within a high-paced, operationally sensitive environment.
  • Maintain compliance with data protection regulations at all times.

Essential Criteria:

  • Active SC Security Clearance (must be sole UK; dual nationals are not eligible ).
  • Demonstrable casework experience, particularly in high-pressure or policy-driven environments.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience applying government policy to case decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Comfortable working with and discussing graphic/disturbing material (resilience is essential).
  • High level of empathy while maintaining strict adherence to policy-based decisions.
  • Good understanding of Data Protection principles.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Background in Home Office, policing, or immigration-related work.
  • Experience handling complex or sensitive cases.

Working Arrangement:

  • Hybrid role based in Whitehall, London.
  • Initial 10-day induction required onsite.
  • Office attendance 1–3 days per week (minimum), subject to business needs.
  • Candidates must be local to London — no travel expenses provided.
