We’re working with a boutique investment bank in London’s West End to hire a Finance Manager, reporting directly to the Finance Director.
The firm specialises in high-value M&A, restructurings, capital markets, wealth management, and equity research. It’s a hands-on role with broad exposure across the business. You’d be overseeing a group of European entities and managing a small local team. The firm is in growth mode – launching new desks with several acquisitions in the pipeline.
While many banks have had a tough year, this one is posting strong double-digit growth across both transactions and advisory. Alongside its core advisory business, the firm also has a growing investment management arm, backing high-growth companies and participating in major funding rounds.
Key deliverables:
- Overseeing month-end across European entities
- Local GAAP close procedures
- Working with the European teams on cash management and forecasting
- Supporting revenue and billing queries with the local teams and clients
- FCA and ACPR reporting (including ICAAP and Pillar 2/3)
- Reviewing statutory accounts and managing local audit requests
- Presenting financials to local boards
- Working with tax advisors on VAT, PAYE, DAC6, and other filings
- Acting as a local contact point for tax/banking queries
About you:
- ACA or CA qualified, ideally from a practice background
- A minimum of 2 years PQE in industry
- Intermediate to advance Excel skills
- Experience of working within a FCA regulated environment, ideally IB or PE
- Someone who’s organised, hands-on, and used to working at pace
- Able to work independently but also good at collaborating across teams
- Comfortable communicating with stakeholders across jurisdictions
