Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Sonographer with at least 1 year of recent specialty experience and required ARDMS certification for a variable shift assignment.
Responsibilities
- Work in an ultrasound department serving a Level II Trauma Center and possible outpatient imaging center rotation
- Caseload and patient types are discussed during the interview
- Adult experience required; pediatric experience preferred
- May float between main hospital and outpatient imaging center as needed
- 40 hours per week with variable shifts
- Uses Cerner EMR system
- Orientation details and specific job duties will be discussed during the manager interview
- Support includes lead tech and physician coverage
- Scrub attire may be any solid color as long as professional, or scrubs can be provided
- RTO is subject to manager approval
- Flu vaccination required for clearance; only medical exemptions considered, with a 2-week review period
- Candidates must live at least 100 miles south or southwest of the facility and may not have previously worked at a Northern Light Health hospital in a permanent capacity
- Applicants with a scheduled flu vaccine appointment should disclose this information
- Free parking available
- First-time travelers will be considered if minimum experience is met
Requirements
- Current ARDMS certification in either AB or OB required; both are preferred
- BLS certification required
- Minimum of 1 year sonography experience in acute care required; 2 years preferred
- Experience with adult patients required, pediatric experience preferred
- Must hold a Maine or compact state license; license required if applicable
