Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment at customer sites in the Ottawa region.
Main Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain equipment according to company standards.
- Perform routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance of equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues, providing effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used during each visit.
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide exceptional service.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, electronic, plumbing, and gas-fueled equipment issues.
- Assist others in equipment installation or performing major repairs.
- Handle service and preventative maintenance contracts, product demonstrations, and training.
- Work overtime if needed.
Requirements:
Education: High school graduate (minimum)
Courses: College graduate of a Mechanical – Electrical – Electronic course
Experience: 3-5 years experience in technical service-related work
Language: Bilingual English and French (verbal and written)
Licenses: Valid Driver’s License with reasonably clear abstract, Provincial ‘gas fitters license’, Certificate of Qualification of Gas Technician (G-2) in Ontario
Passport: Valid passport for travel to the US for training
