JYSK is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join our Human Resources Team on a temporary basis, based in our beautiful home office in Coquitlam, BC. As a Payroll Administrator you will be responsible for effectively and accurately processing semi-monthly payroll in a high-volume payroll department. You will report and take direction from the Payroll and Benefits Manager and ensure a timely and accurate delivery of payroll and all other related services.
This temporary role is for a 9-month contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter new hire information into ADP WorkforceNow.
- Process transfers, promotions, leaves, and terminations in ADP WorkforceNow.
- Process semi-monthly payroll for both hourly and salaried colleagues.
- Process terminations and ROE’s.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of all payroll-related transactions.
- Develop and update complex reports.
- Maintain the accuracy of the payroll data on the HRIS.
- Process benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations online.
- Perform other payroll and benefits related duties as assigned.

What do you bring to the role?
- Knowledge of Canadian (Federal and Provincial) payroll legislation.
- Advanced hands-on experience with MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
- Ability to meet multiple demands in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive employee information.
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment while maintaining a “can do” attitude.
- Excellent customer service, attention to detail and organizational skills including effective prioritization and follow-up skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Minimum 2 years experience with Canadian payroll – for 200+ colleagues – is required.
- Working experience with ADP WorkforceNow is preferred.
- PCP certified or enrolled in the National Payroll Institute (NPI) certification program.
- Post-secondary education in Business or Accounting is preferred.
Compensation: Generally, the hiring range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000 annually; the base pay offered is based on location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, internal and market equity.
